Drive 10 miles north of St Augustine along A1A and you come to this wonderful wildlife preserve. Miles of trails, a little history and lots of wildlife.
Overlooking the Tolomato River
Bags of oyster shells along Shell Bluff. This area was occupied thousands of years ago by hunter gatherer tribes. The main diet was oysters,shell fish and small animals. The Europeans settled and grew indigo and rice in the 1700's.

Okay so the only wild life we saw was from a distance but these peaceful trails had a lot to offer.
Well it was 40 degrees in Buffalo today! Getting warmer!! I'll bet you don't miss it, though. Florida looks fantastic. Glad you're having fun!!

Wow, really pretty! Enjoy life! I too will be joining the ranks of the "retired traveler" soon! Going to AZ again in April, staying in some Navajo lands. Thanks for sharing your "warm" life with us; snowing in Buffalo again, but we love it!
