On August 5th Pat and I embark on our first extended road trip with our new Little Guy Silver Shadow. We've done a few short trips to work out the kinks. The plan is to be on the road for three months. We spent eight day's camping in Webster, NY while attending the Rochester Jazz Festival and we couldn't have been more comfortable. No more cheap motels for us. The Little Guy is going on a short cruise this week for a coming out party in the Finger Lakes with some of our oldest and dearest friends . Should be fun.

Bidding the Finger Lakes a fond farewell we traveled north on Pre Emption Road toward Lake Ontario. After a beautiful drive through rolling green hills we arrived at Pat's father's place just outside Cato NY.
Pat and I headed out to the Finger Lakes for a get together in Branchport to introduce the Little Guy to our Finger Lakes Posse. As usual, the gathering produced some amazing food, Tom's slow cooked pulled pork, Margaret's delicious quick pickles and slaw, Jan's fruit tart with almond crust, and Pat's cherry pie. As always, there was way to much food with lots of laughs. Is it possible to laugh too much? This crowd likes to try and find out. On our second night 'camping' we got to test out the new trailer in a thunder storm. I'm happy to report that we couldn't have been cozier. |
